Trim your mustache

Q: It has reached us that it's from the people of Bid’ah to completely shave off the hair above the lips as the hadith says trim the mustache is this correct? (For the males)

A: Most of the authentic Prophet's sayings (is) only to trim it.

Narrated from Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "The fitrah is five things:

1. Circumcision.

2. Shaving the pubes. 

3. Trimming the mustache. 

4. Trimming the nails and 

5. Plucking the armpit hairs."
